Gratitude for Love and Friendship Altar
This altar to the Morrigan and Herne was based on a gratitude
ritual for new love and friendship as you can see from the pink (love) candles
surrounding the silver Goddess candle. Other candles represent God,
Goddess, Mother, and male strength. The intent of the ritual was to thank
Deity for the blessing of new friendships. The pink candles burned
in a notable deosil direction, beginning in the South. Though
this altar is one of many in the household, it is one of only two altars that
face South, but this one has a mirror above it to reflect the North, which can
be seen here with a collection of wands, athames, and tapestries.
