Stardust Danann's "Mini-Stonehenge"
"My backyard is a mini-Stonehenge," writes Stardust Danann, a reader of Spilled
Candy Books.
She has a stone circle in her yard, but hasn't set up an altar yet. Her
permanent altar is inside, for prayer and meditation.
"As you can see," she writes, "I live in a pine and juniper forest. And
Spring has not yet arrived at 7200 elevation. Soon!"
She adds, "It is about 15 or 20 feet in diameter and the big stones
are about a foot or two high. We live in a rural area (the part of the
Rockies extending down into NM -- 7200 feet Manzano Mts.) so the circle is made
from big local rocks and smaller rocks and stones and a few carved and ceramic
things (including petrified wood and shell fossils). My husband was a
geologist who collected rocks all over the country. He is now a long-time
furniture woodworker. He can be seen at
www.schariercustomwood.com."
Stardust has a website under her magickal name,
www.thecraftwoman.blogsppot.com.
"I am going to post an excerpt from my anthology of my short story collection--a
humorous story about the Craft. I guess I am new to the Craft
somewhat...solitary, self-dedication this past winter after studding the Craft
for a long time. I guess I was called to it but didn't realize it until
recently."
